Very First Post

Its been my 2nd week in Canada and I am beginning to miss home. The weather here is crazily good and bad - with sometimes being super cold like tonight. For some reason, every time we planned to go for a nice scenic marine drive or a trip up to the mountain, the sky appears to be so gloomy and foggy. But oh well, the people here are fantastically nice. Once, we got lost and a couple whom we approached to ask for directions offered us a lift to wherever we wanted to go. Second (which is yesterday), we missed our last ferry and ended up stranded in Victoria island itself, the chief security officer offered to bring us to his home for tea. Its so awesome culture over here.

Transportation here is quite convenient as we are required to purchase U-PASS (which is pretty expensive) and the bus interchange is just a 5 minutes walk away from Gage (Residential Home).
We had gotten our stuffs from Ikea so most of our dinners are settled by cooking which saves us alot of time travelling up and down. Food here can be really quite expensive. The cheapest I have seen is a slice of pizza costing (2 CAD ++) and each time we purchase something, its always comes with tips + tax + province tax (1.12%).

School schedules here may vary depending on what kind of professor you chanced upon depending on your luck. Some professors are really nice and super clear in the way they teach and some may be super slack (it means not giving you any tutorials) - So it really boils down to what you really want to achieve while you are on SEP.

Most awesome thing: There is still korean, Jap, Chinese, and TNT Supermarket for food!
Its 10.20pm!

Xoxo.

The Start

Its 2 weeks more before I am officially off to Canada.
To be honest, I cannot wait to fly off but yet I can't bear to leave people here behind.
I can't bear to live the comfort of living in a neighbourhood where you can just buy your food at the nearest hawker, and without needing to worry whether your clothes are washed.
It all just seems like taking baby steps to learn officially how to live on your own and of course to be more street-smart (hahaha! which I am totally not).

The blog is opened for people who loves to see the world just like I do but yet such opportunity does not come easily and also for my beloved friends and bf to know what's going on in my world over there.
